Website and App Terms

Last updated: 12 July 2026

1. Who operates BuildManager

BuildManager is operated by Vu AI Ltd, company number 15766790, registered at International House, The Mclaren Building, 46 The Priory Queensway, Birmingham, United Kingdom, B4 7LR. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Vu AI Ltd.

2. Scope of these terms

These terms cover the public website and the invite-only BuildManager application. A pilot agreement, order form or other written agreement may set additional commercial terms. That written agreement takes priority if it conflicts with this page.

By accessing BuildManager, you confirm that you are authorised to use it for the account or business shown in the application.

3. Accounts and access

Accounts are created by invitation. Keep login details and shared trade-portal links secure, use the correct project account and tell us promptly if access should be revoked. Account administrators are responsible for deciding who can see each project and for removing access when it is no longer needed.

4. Project data

You retain ownership of drawings, takeoffs, quotes, photographs, contacts and other material uploaded to your account. You give us permission to host, copy, process and display that material only as needed to provide, secure and support BuildManager.

You must have the right to upload the material and to include any personal information it contains.

5. AI-assisted takeoffs and commercial records

AI-generated quantities and classifications are working material for estimator review. They can be incomplete or wrong. BuildManager records source evidence, questions and exceptions, but it does not replace professional estimating, quantity surveying, engineering, legal or accounting judgement.

Users must check drawings, scope, quantities, tax basis, rates, variations, claims and payment details before relying on them or issuing them outside the business.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • access another account or project without permission;
  • upload unlawful, malicious or infringing material;
  • probe, bypass or interfere with access controls, rate limits or security;
  • use the service to send misleading documents or impersonate another person; or
  • copy or reverse engineer the application except where the law expressly permits it.

7. Service operation

We may change the application, correct data-processing defects or suspend access to protect accounts and infrastructure. We will use reasonable care in operating the pilot, but uninterrupted availability is not promised. Planned pilot support and service levels are governed by any written agreement with your organisation.

8. Our software

We and our licensors own the BuildManager application, branding and underlying software. Access to the application does not transfer those rights. Rights in product-specific work under a pilot or venture agreement are governed by that agreement.

9. Confidentiality

Each party should protect non-public business, project and technical information received through the pilot and use it only for the agreed work. This does not cover information that is already public through no breach, was lawfully known, or must be disclosed by law.

10. Suspension and deletion

We may suspend access for a security risk, unlawful use or a material breach. Account owners can delete a non-personal account in the application. Deletion removes its active project records and source files, subject to short-lived backups, security records and any retention required by law or a written agreement.

11. Liability and commercial terms

Fees, warranties, liability limits, acceptance criteria and support obligations belong in the written agreement with your organisation. Nothing on this page excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits your statutory rights.

12. Governing law

Unless a written agreement says otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to alex@vu.co.uk.
